IP Stealth Programs..Do They work???

Can someone that knows about programs like this, tell me how they work and are they worth the trouble.
I have seen a few out they like Stealther.
Can they really make it saver to surf the net, by hiding your IP.

Yes stealth progams do work if configured properly...some good ones are Ghost Surf, anynomizer,probly the best 2...if you want to stay invisiable on aol..forget it..also to use it with a p2p it has to be configured...its not to difficult..check out this web site, you'll find all the info therer plus some great links..
