less 50% of games don't work

Hi,

I am using a Phat PSP running 5.00 m33. I seem to have an issue where less than 50% of my games seem to work. Most just freeze. Majority of these games worked well in 3.71. Is it worth going back? Do I need to have some settings adjusted in 5.00? What about XMB speed or CPU speed, should that be change and increased to max?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, what type of games? Try to be more specific. Are you taking about PSX eboots or homebrew?

umd iso sony np9660

under the recovery console on 5.00M33-6

under configurtion you can speed up the memory card for game and pops

should run smooth now

Thanks for the advice.

Games still are not working.

Homebrew ones mainly. Hellboy, Tenchu Shadow assassin etc. I even have to take the battery to restart as the games just freeze the system.

Is it something to do with my memory stick? I am using a 4gig Memorystick pro duo magic gate.

when i had a faulty card the light would just give a steady blink and the game would freeze on my new card the light blinks erratically, also when game froze i tried taking out and reinserting the card sometimes it solve problem sometimes not, can you try another card in it to eliminated the problem or use it in another CFW PSP to rule out the card as the problem? did see on here somewhere a program for formatting the card properly.
