I searched other threads and didn't find an answer, but here's what happend:

I dropped my psp when I was opening my car door and now it will turn on but there is nothing on the screen or no sounds. The green light stays on and the orange lights on the left blink. I have to pull the battery out to turn it off.

I am running custom firmware, but I dont' know what version. when I hold down the R button I can access recovery mode, but I don't know what to do from here. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!

Try reflashing your PSP with pandora or with Hellcats downgrader. It might not or might solve the problem, but its a long shot. That's all you can do now and hope it boots up again. A PSP is very sensitive since it has very small parts that can become dislodged from excessive friction.
