E74 error Want to Send Back Need advice please

Hello all, i have an xbox 360 that has an E74 Error i tried alot of things except the x-clamp method, this is a newer motherboard but not the Jasper, what i was thinking of doing was to send it back to Microsoft but i flashed the benq drive with ixtreme 1.4, one good thing is that when i took it apart it had the old silver warranty sticker on it which is intact and in very good condition and i can put it back together and send it back.

I am asking for advice on what i should do, try the x-clamp method? or send it back with a flashed drive, i mean will they check the drive to see if has been flashed or will they just send me out another refurb 360

any thoughs or ideas are welcomed and thank you all for your time

If the sticker is in great shape like you say and not really any obvious signs that you opened it then i would send it to MS. I really highly doubt they will check to see what fw is on your drive. odds are they will check your sticker and verify your problem and then issue you a repair on that or a refurb unit. and even if they deny you all that will happen is they send it back and then you can try to fix yourself.

I have a box I just sent in that the sticker was not "perfect". do you know if they deny it and send it back would I be able to buy/get a "perfect" sticker put it on and try again or would they like record the first failed attempt? I can do the x-clamp. I've done it many times but would really like to just make MS fix/replace it if I can.

How bad is the sticker? You can get new ones on ebay but that's $20
