In the aftermath of the Pirate Bay verdict a week ago, some torrent trackers have already ceased operation to protect the individuals who own and operate them. Those that haven't are apparently becoming targets for a movie industry backed anti-piracy group. will they be changing their minds now that its looking like the judge was biased and a possible retrial is on the cards

"Unless The Pirate Bay's appeal goes well, it doesn't look like Sweden will be a friendly place for torrent trackers." - Since when has Sweden been a friendly place for pirates? If they crack down on software piracy in Somalia...then I will be suprised.

I've been to Bosnia and now Iraq... locals set up shops and SELL bootleg movies, games, software, etc. Where are the organizations claiming monetary loss?? I can see the point in /trying/ to shut down torrent tracking sites... but how about a little pressure on those who are deliberetly making money off piracy, not those who want to try something out before considering purchasing a legit copy???

Those same people also more than likely have a stock of AK-74's, an old Adam bomb, and some pieces to what was a F-4 Phantom.
