I am thinking of buying a modchip for my wii, once this is installed can someone tell me if it would be the same procedure backing up the games as it is on a modded xbox 360? and is it the same style disks 8.5Gb dual layer?

I download iso file then burn onto disk using image burn, thats it really! do you know if its the same for wii?

That's basically it, yup. Most games, if not all, can fit on a regular 4.7gb DVD -R disc. Get Verbatim -R's, they're the best for Wii games. The correct file size for a Wii game is 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes.) A lot of games online are scrubbed though so the size will be smaller, but once you extract the game to an ISO it should show the correct size of 4.37 GB (4,699,979,776 bytes.)
