Hi been a while since I've turned my Wii on.

Now i've got the wiikey v1 at 1.9g
my wii firmware is at 3.2e

I don't want any homebrew channels or anything like that I just
want to be able to play backups.

are there any issues I should be aware of before updating
to 1.9s and firmware to 4.0?

sounds like a simple question but like I said it's been a while since i've done anything with my wii, I tried to search around but all I could find was people talking about softmods and ios's (whatever they are) and other problems that I'm not really sure relate to me. Things seem to have changed a lot in the last few months.

Like I said... I just want to play backups of originals, no homebrew channels no special apps. Just backups. is there any reason I shouldn't update?

Updating to version 4.0 firmware wont affect your modchip in any way and you will still be able to play your backups but will not be able to install the HomeBrew channel as of yet.
