Hey guys i am trying to flash my benq drive using 1.51 and jungleflasher. I have installed the PortIO32 driver and installed .net 2.0.....I am not using a chipset at the moment i just have a standard sata cable plugged into my xbox drive and into one of the sata ports on my computer. I turn on my 360 and start jungleflasher....When i go to MTKflash i see in device properties it shows my xbox under name and PBDS next to properties. When i try to unlock the drive by clicking benq unlock it says Sending Vendor Intro and then Vendor intro failed....if i try to click the intro/device id it says Sending Vendor intro and then status 0.51 than i get the message to resend and try to unhook the power to my drive and plug it back in real quick but get the Device intro failed message....I am thinking this is happening because i am not using a chipset and i guess the on on my computer just doesnt work???? What do you guys Think?

You could have also tried using Dosflash32. It has got some more options on getting a BenQ into vendor mode than JF.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Ok so i go the via chipset and plugged it into the computer and turned my computer on and installed it. I then plug my drive into the sata card turn on the xbox and run jungleflasher. I click the mtk section and choose the via 6421 port that shows my xbox in the device thing. first i tried the just click the benq unlock and that gives me some benq error message and freezes my computer...i have to restart my computer and unplug the via card for it to even restart and then turn it back off and re install the card. that really sucked. then i tried to do the power the drive on with the tray half out. choose my the port that shows my drive in the device and hit intro id.....it gives me the vendor device failed or whatever and i still cant get the damn thing into unlock mode....what am i doing wrong?????

Follow the guide. You need to remove the windows driver which cause the crash. I've flashed benQ's and they are by far the easiest to do. Have tray half open and power cycle, click into, then read, then save the files, and then write. That easy. If intro fails, you don't have it setup right. Kill the driver in the c:\windows\system32 folder and you should have a yellow explanation by your via card in device manager if it's setup right.

benq is the easiest to do just use iprep 1.06 verison i always found that 1 to be the most fool proof, just run i prep with your usb key plugged in, select the 1.51 firmware, select your drive letter for your usb key.when it finishes making your usb key bootable, boot your pc from your usb flash key and follow the onscreen instructions. make sure your benq drive is plugged into the sata 6421 via card when you boot from the usb key and make sure you have it powered off before you start and voila thats it.should take you 5 mins max

wow, you made this sound alot harder than it is. Just make sure you download jungle flasher 1.55. NO USB keys, or CD's, etc are needed. Make sure you have the Via 6421 chipset card and it takes like 3 minutes to do.

First off, since it's a BENQ, just install the via drivers from viaarena.com
Plug the BENQ to the primary SATA port on the VIA and turn on. If windows freezes, reboot windows with the BENQ drive already connected.
Then flash with jungle flasher.

I just removed the driver and it works every time for me. I even hot swap, no reboots.
