Hello all, when i start up my Windows Vista Home Basic, its all good but when i wait for a couple minutes, it just freezes and nothing moves. Can anyone help me? i've done virus scans and cleaned the registers.

Does it freeze in safe mode?

If it does, it's possibly hardware.

If it doesn't, it's probably software. It could be downgrade drivers, bad driver interaction, a lot of things. You may need to back up your data and re-install windows, although that would be rather drastic.
