I need help everyone! I use Smartripper, dvd2avi and tmpgenc to rip dvd 2 vcd. The video quality looks very good and the sound is great except towards the end where it doesn't sync anymore. Where'd I go wrong?

I'm not so sure that you are doing anything wrong, but the more I read about people complaining of audio synch problems with TMPGenc, The more I am glad that I got this little tool a long time ago.. its called toolame, and you can download it here.

You basically setup TMPGenc to use the external tool for audio, and it usually does the job much better than TMPGenc's internal audio conversions.

you might not be able to blame the audio sync problem on TMPGE itself. thier could be an error on the Source DVD disk itself. i have rented a few movies that have been pretty badly scratched, and that will cause the audio to go out of sync at a certain point in the movie, which will throw the rest of the movies sound sync off.Just an idea
