ok, first post...did the search, checked the guides...so if i still missed it, sorry.
recently i decided to use Nero 6 and RecordNow as my backup software to burn data. previously i have been using a proggy called B's recorder...hopefully someone has had previous knowledge of this proogy. had no problems with B's recorder software...knew what to expect, click/drag..burn.
my Q is this, i have two types of saved data...one that i burn on a CDRW and the other i save to an external harddrive which usually gets more additions. when i backup my data...i save the data from the external harddrive to the disc, is it possible to overwrite the same data and add the new data without deleting the old data first. so, keep the data that i have on the disc, add new data . i know this is called multisessions on nero...been trying...but it wont allow me to save to the disc, says the available space is not enough...i understand this...i just want it to compare the existing data and write the new data to the disc.
b's recorder did this...no problems, been trying nero6 and RecordNow...but i am not sure it has been doing it or just overwriting it completely.
if your wondering why i dont just use b's recorder to burn my data...just upgraded to WIN2K and the version i have wont work with it...freezes everytime i start the program....checked for updates, samething.
in short want to burn data onto a disc which already has that data and just add new data without deleting any of the previously saved data from the disc.
once again...sorry if this has been asked/answered just trying.
thanks for any help
