Hi. Sorry. I meant what firmware was the D2Pro? How long have you had it? Newer chips have FW that can update via the 1.7 config disc. Do you know what control chip your Wii has, D2a/b, D2C2, D2E, etc? ---Chikn

I had this d2pro a little over a year now and i think wii chip is d2c
Download, burn, run in your Wii. Otherwise, you connect your D2Pro to the D2Prog via the flat cable, blue side up. Then connect the D2Prog to the computer via USB cable. Windows will search for a driver, install it manually. You must download the driver and Wiifirmware from the page above. Once the D2Prog is installed in Windows go to the firmware for the Wii and execute it, type YES at the prompt. Wii should be off. That should update. ---Chikn

You can download the 1.7 config disc for your region, US, EU, JAP. If you run that in the Wii it has the firmware update on it. If the firmware of your D2Pro chip is an older one it may not update via DVD. You would then need to download the 9-wire firmware for your OS, Windows if you are using windows. They are all listed on the resources page. Make sure you unzip the files after downloading. ---Chikn
