I have got 5.00 M33-6 on my phat PSP and want to take it off and upgrade to the official firmware. If I just upgarde to the official firmware will this get rid of it? If not is there as option in the recovery menu to get rid of it? Basically I want to restore it to how it was when it was new then do an official upgrade to the latest version. Any Help would be really usefull.

its weird because on some psps when you go to the network update it does update but some psps it bricks them one of mine updated to the official 5.0 firmware because i downloaded it off the site

Just download an official firmware update that is higher than 5.00 and run it like normal. Warning though if you do this you will have to use pandora to hack it again.

What do you mean hack it again, if he wishes to go back to cfw?
