I am trying to flash my friends 360 drive and we are having a problems with his 79fl. Currently I have a via 6241 pci sata controller, and it will not recognize in the vendor section. I have read the team jungle tutorial, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have the VIA driver installed? If not you will not be able to get the drive recognized over WinAPI. I would recommend re-installing the VIA driver and use WinAPI to flash the Hitachi 79.

You need to eject the drive.
Send Mode B, the drive will close.
Wait 15-20 seconds for the drive to be recognized. Check device manager.
Insert your 79 Unlock disc.
Click 79 Unlock.
Tick the circle that says Flash iXtreme.
Click flash hacked f/w.
JF will do the rest.
