How to be absolutely sure which wii-clp you need?

A buddy of mine wants to use the wii-clip along with the wiikey version 2. Is there anyway you can check to be definitely sure whichwii-clip he needs.

I put the original wiikey in my wii, and I remember that there was some way I opened up my wii to check which drive type or motherboard type I have. But it's been so long I don't remember how I did that.



Is there something out there that would show him how to use a method besides the serial number to figure out what wii he has so he can be absolutely sure?



I have searched the Internet looking for a guaranteed method but I cannot find anything. I don't think the serial number route is absolutely infallible and he would like to be absolutely sure which type of counsel he has.

go to wiidrives dot com and look it up. I think the serial thing is the only way unless you just want to use the solderless drivekey modchip that will work with every wii drives.

why not just softmod, it's free to do. Modchips are a waste of money.

Although off topic, I agree. I've started using the USB loader and it's FAST! Plus there's no wear and tear on the Wii's drive!
