Okay, so i built myself a custome probe and attempted to flash using jungle flasher and one of the many tutorials out there and i just cannot get it to work...in jungleflasher my drive is'nt even recognised, but in the maximus extractor program it is..
Using the maximus extractor program i can see the drive but when getting the key it just comes up with BC=0 error.
I'm using an intel sata chipset but that should be okay should'nt it??

Cheers for any help guys, and i have searched the forums many times but i am at my wits end..
Oh and i also have the dvd drive powered by the xbox and the tray is halfway open...i have shifted the tray to so many "halfway open" positions and nothing seems to be working for me.

Also i have to ask, is the transistor type of any relevance?? i'm guessing not as long as its an npn transistor.

I had the same problem. Make sure you are power cycling the drive after you push the tray in 1/2 way.

Not all intel chipsets work. You need to get a Via 6421 card. They are cheap, and they work.

Okay, i sorted my diy probe out (turns out i was using the wrong pins, so it was basically doing nothing.
Have deffo wired it up properly and i'm still getting the same problem, i'm not convinced its the chipset as it see's the drive fine it just won't read the key via serial port.
Is there any way to test my diy probe??
If not then i may just splash out on the CK3 lite and probe to solve my problems as this is really grinding my gears :(

Thanks

I've had the same problem using other chipsets. I think you will keep fighting this until you get the card. I wouldn't waste anymore time if I were you. I mean come on, the card is $15.....
