I have a pal fat PS2 modded with modbo 4.0 and I have it set to force VGA mode. I also have a hdd with launchelf and hdloader.

I also have the xcm vga box which allows me to attach my ps2 to my monitor via component (not composite). My monitor fully supports 480p.

It works fine with my wii set to 480p but it doesn't seem to work with my ps2.

I am aware that this is typically done with the Blaze vga cable but the way I have done this here should achieve essentially the same result as all the vga box does is extract green and sync signals.

I also know of software which will allow me to achieve this but I want to play my games off of the hdd in 480p and there is no software to allow that but the vga mode should allow me to do that. I also don't wish to patch all the games as that would take far too much effort at this point.

I will pursue other options like xploder hdtv but I really prefer playing games off of the hdd in 480p and that is more difficult than I expected.

As always any help will be greatly appreciated.
