Problem booting p.c with Benq drive connected

Hey guy's.

Been racking my brain on this for the past few hours. Hope some of you could shed some light on this?

* Situation *
I have a Dell Dimension 5150 desktop p.c. This has 2 SATA ports on the motherboard. The first SATA port is connected to my boot hard drive. I have used the 2nd port to connect the 360 Benq drive. When booting and going into the Bios, if I enable the 2nd SATA port I can successfully see the Benq drive listed as VAD6038. However when I exit the Bios it will not boot from my primary hard drive with the Benq enabled and connected to the 2nd port. It's as though it cannot see the hard connected to the primary sata port?

I've tried updating the Bios to the latest version but this has made no difference.

I've checked in the bios further and there are no further options to set which particular SATA device to boot from.

Any ideas would be appreciated? Thanks.

Are you leaving your BenQ drive powered on when you boot?

Try leaving the drive off but connected to the PC. Power the PC on and see if you can boot off of your hard drive.

Cheers for the advice. After doing a bit more digging around I swapped the devices around on the motherboard Sata ports.

I am now able to boot up the p.c and when launching Jungle Flasher (0.1.51 b) and clicking on the relevant port on the MTK Flash 32 tab I can now see the Benq drive listed. However clicking on the Benq-Unlock button I receive the error:

" Benq-Un-Lock command returned an Error "

As this is a 2nd hand unit i'm not 100% sure if this was previously flashed? I've tried the using the half open tray method but get the same results. Not sure if I need a separate VIA VT6421A to get this to work?
