hey everyone i need a few suggestions on what might be my problem with my slimline ps2......Ive been trying to mod it to play my ps1 back ups, (mainly Ive been trying to think of way to keep that stupid last censor down because tape will not keep it down for long) but anyway Ive been messing with it all day..taking the top off trying one solution and putting it back on then trying another ect. well all of a sudden out of nowhere i discover that the laser in the ps2 isn't moving and that the disk is not spinning. i try putting it all back to normal and still no movement in the disk or the laser. i am pretty sure i did not break anything and nothing seems to have been knocked loose...any suggestions?

Maybe a sensor has been knocked off, i knocked mine off and had to solder all 4 solder joints together which made a permanent closed connection. It was not the easiest thing, but it works brilliantly!
If you could provide pictures or videos it would be very helpful!
