how do i play and burn a wmv file
as i ahve downloaded several filme in the format and can't do a thing with them

Windows Media Player should play .wmv files - or at least offer to download the required codec.

Do you want to convert the files to a different format (like a DVD movie) or simply burn them to a CD or DVD as data.
If you want to convert them to DVD format and burn them to a DVD, try DVD Flick.

If u have XP, just burn them to a cd or dvd...I don't know if Vista does, but i suspect it does.
