Okay so i have an IO Magic DVD-RW Dual Layer Burner and basically whenever i attempt to burn a game, after i press the burn button it starts buffering and it only gets up to "Write LeadIn" and thats where it freezes, even if u close it by ctrlaltdelete it wont go away. ive used nero and imgburn and i get the same thing with both. any ideas?

is your system running low on memory? if you have a low amount of memory/ram and are running a lot of programs at the sametime maybe that is the issue. Turn off all programs and stuff except imgburn and try again. i would reboot first then turn off stuff then try.

Also make sure you are using Verbatim 2.4 speed, I have tried various discs and get the same crap when writing lead in. Verbs are the only discs I get 10 out of 10 gos burns... worse was Aone 2.4 1 out of 10 burns.

Yeah, you get that when the laser can't find where on the disc to write the lead-in. It happens for one of 2 reasons. Crappy burner, crappy media.

I'd be willing to bet it's crappy media. Get some Verbatim DVD+R DL discs and burn at 2.4 or 4x.

im pretty sure it isnt a memory issue and ive tried using verbatim but i still get the same results..
