I wanted to know what I needed to after I have jailbroken my 1G Ipod Touch to get apps on my ipod. I do not have a wifi connection so is there any way to do it without it?
iPhone Tunnel Suite is a new application which lets you connect to your iPhone via SSH even if you do not have a WIFI connection! Follow this guide to make all configuration and be ready to use the program. It´s been tested and also works on firmware 2.0.
Requirements:
? Open SSH installed through Installer or Cydia
? iPhone Tunnel Suite
? Latest version of. Net Framework
Functions:
? Connecting via SSH to an iPhone / iPod Touch, all without the need of WiFi and with the need of only USB cable.
? Client WinSCP integrated
? Client Putty integrated

2. Go ahead with the installation with the exe files:
3. Installation took place, then you can run the suite. Launch SSH in iPhone / iPod as well.
4. You will find a screen that shows only 3 buttons, first launch "iPhone Tunnel" that will establish a connection to your iPhone / iPod via the USB cable, then make sure to have it connected via USB. If you have not connected the iPhone close the tunnel screen (which is entitled "Launcher.exe"), connect the equipment and launch it again.
5. You can now use WinSCP client and Putty respectively for the file transfer and use of terminal line (Recommended). Within WinSCP there is already a profile called iPhone for the connection, then just click on connect (accedi Italian) to start the communication between the computer and the device.
Note: The WinSCP Client in the program is in Italian , but you can use your own, just set up as follows:
? IP Address: 127.0.0.1
? Port: 22
? Username: root
? Password: alpine
6. Now you are Connected. using WinSCP as if you were connected via WiFi , have fun!
1. When the connection is established navigate to the folder:
?/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework?
2. Backup the MobileInstallation file, just rename it to ?MobileInstallation.bak? or copy it to your computer.
3. Copy the MobileInstallation patch file (http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=79847956507591286348) to ?/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework?
4. Set the permissions/CMOD of the file to 775. You can do this by right clicking on the file and going to properties.
5. Navigate to ?/private/var/mobile/? and Set permissions to the folder ?Applications? to 777
NOTE: Make sure recursive is checked (it sets all files within the folder to 777)
6. Navigate into the ?/private/var/mobile/applications/? folder and create a ?Documents? folder. Set the permission to 777.
7. Navigate to the root level and in the ?/Applications/? folder create a ?Documents? folder. Set permissions to 777.
8. Reboot iPhone/iPod Touch.
9. Now in iTunes log into your account and download a free game/ application. Make sure that you authorize your pc. If you don?t have an account you can create a free account in iTunes.
10. Now you can copy any cracked game/ file and check if it?s working. If it?s not then go through the above process again to verify if it?s done properly.
To get apps in the phone
iTunes method aka .ipa method
This is simple and painless. Double click on the .ipa file and sync your device. Thats it. But just in case you want to know more , this is what is happening. By double clicking the .ipa file, you will open the file with iTunes. The file will be automatically copied into iTunes library. Once iTunes is loaded and the files was opened , you just need to press sync, and the instalaltion begins.
