Help with playing PAL games on NTSC SCPH-75001

Hi, I'm new.

Anyway, I just bought the PAL version of ICO, and I wanted to know what the best way was to play it on my NTSC SCPH-75001 Slim PS2 without a mod-chip. Should I use Swap Magic or something?

I know that there are many compatibility issues with mods, so I'd like to know exactly what I need for the SCPH-75001.

Yes you could use Swap Magic to play it. Now even though Swap Magic says it plays imports, it doesn't always.

So what you would then need to do is download imgburn (its free)

Then put your ICO in your pc, and using image burn , read it to your hdd, thereby making an ISO image.

Then depending upon if your TV supports PAL or not, you may need to patch the ISO image with adr patcher.

The PAL ICO should have a 50/60 hertz selector though after the language screen. Therefore you wouldn't need to patch it.

Then using imgburn, burn the ISO to a DVD-R at 4x speed.

Then you will be able to play the game using Swap Magic.

Do you think it would be possible to use the all-region DVD feature of Action Replay Max to play the game?

I don't think so, but then again I have never tried it. That was used mainly for DVD movies to play other regions.

Do you have Action replay max with usb support and media player? If yes, then there is a way to play backups using that method.
