well i mean i use bit torrent its pretty good, but its not great for music. ive heard a lot of great stuff about kazaa, but i dont wanna get caught by RIAA or be hacked by someone or catch a virus.... so is what i wanna know, should i get kazaa???
No P2P are safe as far as seeing yer IP is , as all yer communications with the internet goes with letting them know yer IP...
Would suggest to try out ed2k-network though as it is safer cuz we have servers which are in the benefit of the sharing community , rather than corporates.. ;)
BitTorrent is easier to trace but then again: all your web-activity is so I wouldnt bother too much , if ya dont live in the US of A cuz there they hunt after ppl who share...
What a land of freedom , huh..?
Use eMule (ed2k-network) and there ya can find almost everything if ya search on it...
I have had nothing but problems with kazaa. Probably about 2/3 rd's of the files have a virus in them, and if you do get the file downloaded it is usually not the right file. I use IRC now and I have never had a problem. I have never caught a virus and never got a fake file. It takes an while to figure out what your doing, but once you do you won't ever use kazaa again.
Good Luck.
Yepp , forget to say that IRC is of course good too and it has in common with eMule that its not as easy as motherfucking-scumbag-Kazaa so it kinda filters out the leecherz...
well im not all that concerned about viruses cuz i have norton antivirus 2004...more concerned about RIAA and hackers.... ive heard of peerguardian, does that help?? thanks
Norton is bad written bloat only sucessfull cuz of its advertising and OEM-deals.. ;)
It is not that beautiful when it comes to catching viruses...
Get a clue about viruses, dont trust an AV and you will see ya wont need it...
Knowledge is best protection of course...and not living in a anti-freedom-of-speech country that let companies hunt down people that share files, like the hypocricy US of A is another real plus for a human being...

I suppose your Masters Degree in Business and undoubtedly years of experience of running a better Antivirus Firm give qualification to that statement - Which company do you own, anyway?

It does not have to be beautiful, it just has to do the job (which it does very well, IF you maintain it properly) - funtion is paramount, looks are WAY down the list ;)

F@{£!NG MORON!!
If you were on any subnet I have responsibility for, you would be out the door and on the Dole, along with charges of Wilfull Neglect and Criminal Damage - never mind what you would be charged with under the Computer Misuse Act (1990).
I apologize if this seems like spam, but I recommend you try the latest beta of ES5.
It now includes access to the FastTrack and Gnutella networks, multisourcing, ip spoofing, and searchable hash links.
May not be the be-all end-all of p2p apps, but definitely worth checking out.
