did you try what i said go back on the firmware to older one
turn the box off at the back then have loader and file ready press download then switch the box on at the back NOT ON STANDBY
and by opening another thread on the same subject is not going to get it fixed quicker either best to keep to 1 thread

Did what you advised several times and even powered box on just as I had download hit and it got to 80% and then said flash burning and said retry, I thought by starting new thread that I might grab attenion with exact problem as thread title,Sorry, Im desperate at this stage as Im beginning to think of just having a branded doorstop.

it could be the cable you have or the way your comport is set up check these and makes sure they are right it may be that your comport has wrong settings and causing the flash to go faster hence its not working
are you using avg by any chance as your anti virus ??

I am using avg, cable came with box,I think that ports are right as I think that if I had waited a minute or two longer the first time and given it a chance to reboot it would have worked but I did'nt think it had to reboot and knocked it off at the back.Learning the hard way, will check all, Thanks alot.

yes mate that's correct the box needs to flash the image then burn it on to the chip but you stopped the burn part of the process
best thing is the turn off at the back and not on standby then hit the download button its all about timing now it could take 20 times to catch it at the right spot but i know it will work as i have done it on many of occasions
