Well if you don"t have the ID or Pass code for it then no one here can help you because it would be illegal for anyone here to give them their Pass code to register your software and it is against the rules of this forum also....
You can Rip the DVD to your Hard drive useing
"Smartripper" in "Backup" Mode, and then use "DVD-Shrink" to extract the unwanted audio and Subtitle tracks and then format the DVD and do any compression if needed and output to a "Video"TS" Folder that you can then Burn to a DVD in DVD-Video Mode useing Nero...It is really quite simple....good luck

....or just download the latest version of DVD Shrink which will rip, backup/compress and burn the files automatically to disc if you have Nero installed.

DVD Shrink

I'm I missing something here? Doesn't DVD Shrink 3.1.7 carry out the full job of compressing a DVD-9 into a DVD-5 and then burning it to a disk all by it self with the need of another program? Or, once it is compressed and saved to a drive you burn it with an burner such has Nero? I notice that some of us are using multiple programs to copy a DVD. What is that all about?

You are quite correct and you are not missing anything, though there are other programmes which some people prefer to use that's all. By the way if you make a mistake with your posting you can edit it by clicking on the little icon at top right of your message rather than submitting a new message.
