Shrink should have done it.
DVDFab should have done it.
Clone DVD should have done it.

Did you try the Ripper that comes with the Paid Version of ANYDVD?

Did you Copy The Disc to the Hard Drive?

What are you Using to burn it to Blank Media? (Imgburn)

Are trying to get them to your HDD first or are you trying a disk to disk burn. If they are home movies there will be no copy protection to worry about. Either do a copy paste from the disk to file or use ImgBurn in read mode, pick your disk drive as the source and select the location on your HDD to copy to as the destination.

Right click the Fox Head icon on your tray. Select "rip file to hard disk" (i think that's how it's worded. i'm not at my home pc at the moment.)

Imgburn should do what you need. Mode > Read then Mode > Write

Let us know how you fare.

edit: spelling

Hi there,
I am having similar problem. I have a panasonic mini dvd camcorder. I have two mini dvd-rw finialized disks from a recent weekend away. I am now trying to put the 2 disks onto my pc then i want to put them both onto one dvd and make copies.. Which i thought would be simple. I have tried imgburn and it keeps getting a I/O error at 90% interpretation -timeout on logical unit?? I have tried a dvd decrypter, dvd shrink but nothing is working.. I keep getting errors. I'm used to this with copyright dvds but i thought with this being a home dvd i wouldn't have a problem.. Am i missing something. Is there an easy way?? I hope so!!
Thanks for any help :O)

A FileIO 3 error is a read error and generally caused by a bad disc

This is an error i usually see when someone is trying to decrypt a copy protected dvd with Imgburn; which it will not do.

You say:

Did you make these yourself?

@MYF
You should probably start your own thread as opposed to hi-jacking someone else's.

Boy! That should Have Been Easy to Back-up.

You could Try to Rip the DVD as an ISO To Your Hard Drive, With ANYDVD Running in the Background Using DVD Shrink Then Burn that With Imgburn.

You could also try Useing DVD Flick.
If you Have the Paid version of DFab You Could try to CLONE it.
If You have Nero Try a 1:1 copy.
Try Backing it up in another Computer.

If That fails you May Have to ask the Place that made it for You to Send You a New Copy.

yeah that should have been easy. Just a caveat, did you check the disc to make sure it's clean with no big thumb prints or candy etc. The crud would be near the edge of the written data about 90% out. Sometimes the simplest things go unnoticed and drive you insane. I use isopropol alcohol and paper towel to clean them.

You wont believe this - I still don't - For some reason, I went home and tried it on my HP Pav XP and it burnt without any problems at all.. That is weird to me. I talked to the creator and he said, would it have anything to do with him using a Mac, and me using Vista. I don't know the answer, but at this point just tickled that it finally worked.
