HELP!!!

Is anyone having problems with the Memorex DVD-R 4X that come in the hundred spindle pack? For some reason, I am getting coaster after coaster with the DVD's coming off the 100-pack spindle. The numbers and brand (Memorex 4X DVD-R)are identical on both the 50's and the 100's discs.

THE ONLY VISIBLE difference is on the discs top. The ones from the 50 spindle have memorex 4x dvd-r written across the entire disc surface which is the standard clearish silver colored dvd top. The ones from the 100 spindle have a matte white finish on the entire top surface. The tiny inner plastic rim around the center does have memorex 4x dvd-r on it.

I use the same software (Nero 6 Ultra), both at 2X speed, with identical VOB, ISO, etc files. The discs from the 50 spindle always work perfecty, while the same data written at the same speed with the identical software makes a coaster 7 out of 10 tries.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem or know why or even how the two Memorex 4X DVDR's are so different.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

This is a known problem. See http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/71329. Basically there appear to be a batch of these disks that are defective. I was caught by this and got a refund. My advice is to send them back.
