memory stick light wierd!!!

Hi all, googled my tits off...no joy....cfw psp mem stick light is constantly on, even when the psp is off and with no stick inserted??? dont know if its relavent but apart from the fact that when a mem stick IS inserted everything works fine apart from the arrow buttons on the xmb, when you touch an arrow button one press equals about 5 or 10 presses??? any help most appreciated

sorry to say but i dnt know any other ways to fix this but to TRY downgrading using pandora and update again.
im not sayin this IS goin to work, jus sayin it might work.

Thanks for your help mastersim, it turned out after having tried what you said and a few other things as well but with no luck that some sort of liquid had been unknowingly to me dropped on the psp.....the psp was still switching on however i decided to open it up and found the mmc board contacts bridged with dirt and stuff after having had the liquid dropped on it!!!!! Works fine now...put it down to experience!! Cheers mastersim.
