I recently bought a HP compaq nx9110 and it came with a HL-DT-ST DVD+RW GCA-4040N. I browsed the internet for reports on this burner, many of which said that it cannot for some reason recognise DVD-Rs. I experimented with this myself and sure enough, my DVD-R was not recognised. Could someone please tell me if this is fixable and if so, how. It would be much appreciated.
