Hi Everyone,

I have a modded wii and can play copies that i buy (there is a place that sells copies believe it or not)but i cannot figure out for the life of me how to get the iso's that i download off of the net to work. here's what i do
1. extract with winrar and burn the image using nero to burn image file, i have even tried with image burn.
2. i burn to dvd
after that the backup launcher just goes into an endless loop returning to the main menu. when i put in the copies that i buy i have to choose force ntsc and it works perfectly, all of them. i have dozens. But there are many that i want off of the net that are not available where i buy them.
i put the burnt into my pc to see what is on it and i can't even see anything, it gives me a "unsupported os" error message.
i really hope one of you guys can help me out.
thanks in advance

use verbatim - r for one. Download imgburn 2.4 and use that to burn the isos. Finally make sure the site you are getting the games from are working. Your isos can be corrupted or just filled with junk causse someone doesnt know how to scrub it correctly.

I used image burn amny times and got the same problem. and do you really think that the brand of the dvd matter? because the copies that i buy aren't verbatim either and they work fine. maybe there is something that i have to do to the iso before burning it, unscramble or something?
thanks again

Hi,
I'm pretty new at all this too. I have a wii that is modified with a drivekey (solderless). I had some backups that are .iso files. I burned them onto DVD-R disc (lightscribe discs are what I had on hand) which I thought was pretty self explanatory but they are not recognized my by wii.

Can someone tell me what I have done wrong or what step I've left out?

I realize that some forums suggest that the brand of DVD-R's used is important but I find that hard to believe.

Help

Thanks

@lizardkin
Way too much info about your reasoning in dl'ing games. Just leave it at having problem w/ backups - we don't need the rest.
