DVD Tray broke? Please help!!!

All my fault, I'm an idiot and kicking myself right now. Trying to flash 360.....
Dvd case is open because I nee R707 point. 360 is on (powering drive), and for whatever reason, I am moving the dvd tray into better position and I must have hit the bottom (dvd tray guts) on some other piece to cause it not to work.
I power off 360, turn back on, click open tray, but 360 light is just flashing at me. On the TV when I attempt to open it says "Opening" 3 seconds later "Closing"
Before I effed up the drive, I noticed a red light shined within the guts, now... no red light at all.
Any suggestions/tips? What the cheapest place to buy a 360 dvd drive :(
sum1 already had stevedawg and stevedawg85 is longer than 10 chars :(

Yes, I do have the BINS, but the flash did not break the drive. It was me... user error. I didnt handle the DVD drive properly, I am pretty sure I let the guts hit/rub against another part of the 360....
Which drive is the "easiest to mod" and does not require a CK3?
sum1 already had stevedawg and stevedawg85 is longer than 10 chars :(

none of them would require a CK3 that is only for extracting the drive information... which you already have so it's a non-issue.
whatever kinda of drive it was is probably what you should replace it with... you would have no problem with a liteon drive cause they are extremely easy to flash...

yea i would just go with a new lite-on, this way it will have all the same information your original lite-on had. if you go with the benq or sammy or hitachi, it can only have the key.bin, not the inquiry, and dummy, and everything else.

Just to make sure we are all on the same page, this is what I do...
Buy a Lite-on Drive from ebay (or find elsewhere)
Connect to 360, make sure it actually works
Connect to Comp
Erase/Delete FW form new Lite-On
Flash new Lite-On w/ flashed FW that was on previous Lite-On
SUCCESS!!!
If that's so, then not as much of a headache as I imagined. Someone plesae confirm my outline is correct.

yea pretty much. but you can just check it with the ck3 or which ever tool you bought. but i suppose by hooking it up to the console you can throw a movie in there and see if it reads it though.

Before you go looking to purchase a new drive, explain what point in the flashing process you were in. It is possible, and it does happen a lot, that your Lite On just froze up on you. A lot of people get that when they do the power cycle. And if that happens to be the case then your drive isn't dead.

It was all me, user error/hardware problem. I didn't even get to the point of flashing the drive and YES, I do have the orig key and CFW key. I just wanted to prove to myself I can extract the key w/ my custom extractor... that I didnt even get to use.
I was moving the drive and it must have rubbed/touched against another object and now I don't see the red light it emitted before I attempted this...

check all the cables and make sure they are in good maybe the cable going from the laser just came lose and that is why you arent seeing it light up anymore. maybe even reseat them just to be sure. if it is dead then i guess the circuit board made metal to metal contact and shorted something possibly.

Checked cables and no luck. One of the ribbons has a little bend on it, /shrug....
Since I'll be using my previous Lite-on Key to flash my new drive, I would like to raise a question...
Why are people secretive about their dvd key? As in my case, it seems like the dvd key is reusable. If I post my dvd key on here, what difference does it make? And no I will not post it because I am brainwashed to keep it a secret.
