Well...This is my first time hardmodding my US wii console. The question is soldering. When you guys are talking about soldering, I am just wondering how it is done. And I really wanna make sure everything is accurate to build up more confident for the next one if your first hardmod is a success.

OK when it comes to soldering, doesn't it mean you need a solder iron, heat it up and then get some wires made exclusively for wii, and melt both two ends of the wire to the piece of the metal on the wii modchip with your heated solder iron? I am not sure what model my wii console is but it is made in 2007 - 2006 with firmware 3.4 but I downgraded it to 3.2. The reason I don't softmod is I already know how to do it and now I wanna learn hardmod.

Now here comes some other questions:
1) When hardmod, where do I put my modchip?
2) What should I use to stabilize my modchip so that it won't move?
3) What should or how I make all the wire organized and neat?

I have got the d2pro with yellow sticker. But there are two tutorials or guides on that d2pro website. Things about 5-6 wires to 9 wires and 15/16 wires. I am just kind of a bit confused and which guide should I follow and read on as a tutorial for my wii modification?

Based on your questions, you shouldn't even be thinking about soldering.

Get a Wiiclip.

If you don't know anything about soldering, I would suggest that you shouldn't be experimenting on a $250.00+ piece of equipment that you can "total" by doing the wrong thing.

See if your locality has a Voc-Tech course on soldering.

Others may disagree, but IMHO "do it yourself" learning using a Wii is not a smart move.
