well...What's the disadvantages after updating? I know what benefits I will get after updating to 4.0 but just got questions about the disadvantages.
My US wii console, I have noticed, used up more memory than my Japanese wii console. I have tested them both with 3 wiiware games and two CV games. But the remaining memory, the Japanese wii is around 100 something but the US wii is about 70 something. I didn't use Zela hack on my Jp wii but I did use it on my US wii for the downgrade, which I did twice because the first attempt failed. I am just wondering if that would take up some more space. After the installation, I tried to go to back to the wii memory to delete it but it was gone. Did the hacked save of the Zela still dwell in my console or it has been completely eliminated?

you mean disadvanteage of using the Waninkoko update or just 4.0 in general?
On 4.0 once TP hack/HBC is there you cannot re -install back if you accidentally deleted the HBC. For Waninkoko not all user were successful, few brick their Wii. Before updating make sure you have enough block at least 300 but to be safe make it 500 block free.
I have not seen a user brick their Wii using the Nintendo update path.
Well...Why take a risk if you want to be on the safe side. Just get those wads and vc work from the SD and install this.....I won't take that risk. I could reinstall a few and then delete them and install new wads or wiiwares if I want.
Could anybody confirm about the space memory and answer my question about it.

The US wii as you have mentioned has HBC so the HBC eats 11 blocks so what other WADs do you have?how about game save, i don't think you will be playing same level and same game on both Wii so from there you will be able to figure out the difference? If you go to configuration channel or data you should be able to compare both Wii.
If you are 3.4u the TP game save is automatically deleted if you power down the Wii.
