1: What is the significant difference in SS V2 and...
2: Will kreon drives be able to properly extract it?
3: Future ripping safer with an Xbox 360 drive or Samsung Kreon drives?

No none of those 3 questions are answered directly at all... im aware you can use an Xbox drive to burn games.. and a Kreon. But its stated that Xbox drive with 1.6 can read ss V2.. so is this going to be safer than using the Kreon i currently have??
Just humour me, if you find the answers on that thread add Quotes to me questions with what you can seen. I've read the whole 60 page thread and i disagree with you.

That must've been a busy evening, I would prefer a good book.
SS V2 is a copyright protection, but so far noone knows if M$ ever plans on using it because it is not compatible with all Xbox 360 drives out.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Look funny man, instead of being a smart arse. Give quotes from the thread in question. Those questions i ask are not answered directly anywhere.... Its perfectly reasonable for me to ask questions that have not been answered.

SS V2 is a new way to read the security sectors. From what information has been given, I'm making an educated guess and saying only the programs will need to be updated.

All i asked for was those quick questions to be answered. I read the whole thread previously that from the link wabashman sent.. but those questions were not answered. I'm sure wabashman has been very helpful to others members, which is great.. BUT in this instance he was very dismissive when i was asking for help with the questions i asked.. that is all. There is no attitude coming from me here, sorry if it came across that way.

I would say yes, the Kreon firmware enables the drive to see the game data and Stealth Sectors. The program you are using tells the drive what to extract. So I would say only programs would need to be updated, but I could be wrong about this. Maybe a new verion of Kreon will be needed.

Personally, I use a BenQ flashed with 0800 firmware. Reason being is that a 360 drive will give TRUE challenge responses vs. Kreon giving STORED challenge responses. If MS would ever change the inquiries on the game, the STORED responses from a Kreon rip would give back a different value than what MS was expecting from the drive.
