I've just had this problem within the last 3 days. When i insert cod 4 into my benq drive it takes quite a while to read and comes up as "play dvd". But when i try to play it it comes up with a white screen and says to insert the disc into an xbox 360 console to play it. The drive is unmodded and the disc is not burnt. Sometimes when i turn it off then on again it will read it, but it usually does not read. All of my other games are read fine, but i don't think there is something wrong with the disc as there is no sign of damage. The console recently got repaired by ms for e74 error.
Also, when i open the tray when it does not read the disc, the disc is still spinning.
Has anyone had this problem and is there a solution?

It might be the laser, but it just got repaired for rrod, all the other games work fine. I'm not to thrilled about taking my 360 apart, but it costs like $60 for a laser replacement in australia. Maybe it might just be cheaper to get a new cod 4 lol
The same thing happend to me with Gears of War 2, but just once well I haven't played Gears since so I don't know if it will do it again. I just wanted to ask you if you installed the disk to the HD because I did so I don't know if that has anything to do with this error.
