first of all, i don't want to upgrade or downgrade if possible. my firmware works for everything i have, and i don't want to recreate eboots for all seventy of my other games i've got backed up currently. also, if this needs to be moved, feel free. i'm new here.

is there a working eboot of chrono cross for firmware 3.71 m33? i own the discs, but i can never seem to make a working version that doesn't freeze on the character select or mama komodo screens.

if there isn't, how would i go about making one that works properly?

eboots are not hard coded for a firmware. you have a choice of which popsloader you want to use. i have FFVII on 5.00 m33-6, and it's using 3.71 popsloader.

i'm aware of that, which is why i was asking if there was a specific version of chrono cross's eboot out there that was known to work on 3.71 properly without crashing. this is a known issue with most (if not all) eboots made of the game, and i was wondering if someone fixed it.

alternatively, how do you choose which version of pops to use for a specific file?

if you did upgrade to 5.00M33-6 then you can use the popsloader http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/767509 popsloader to run 3.71 for the games you already have and the game in question can use a different pops, i know you don't want to upgrade but this is the only way i know
