Samsung S1070 Digital Camera Error

I recently reciever the samsung s1070 digital camera as a gift and i have had some errors.
It used to work perfectly, but i purchased a memory card for it and ever since, it won't power back on and the zoom lens is stuck out.
I have replaced the batteries, plugged it into my computer, and removed the memory card and nothing has worked.
I told the person i recieved the gift from about this and they do not have the reciept, therefore i cannot get it repaired, i also need it fixed by two days.
If anyone could help me with this issue it would be greatly appreciated.
