Hey there,
Can anyone please help. I accidentally cut the cable on my MMDS and have reconnected it but this is what is coming up when I swith the box back on. I have tried everything and can't get it back. The cable is reconnected properly according to my electrician friend so I don't know why this screen is appearing or what to enter to get my channels back?
Please help, I'm missin the united match!!!

thanks

thats a picture of a genuine chorus box menu,if so are you paying chorus(if you are call them out)if not the new cable should have worked fine, did you alter any of the settings on screen, you could try something simple like unplugging the box and plugging back in again and then check your card is in properly(card is located at base of your box)did you just join the cut cable or change the whole thing,is your aeriel an original chorus aeriel(as i know of two people who had the same thing happen,1 guy just rejoined the cut cable and it worked fine, the other guy was unlucky as his aeriel would not work)off hand all i can think is maybe his aeriel shorted out and possibly yours too(as there is a little box on the aeriel where the cable is attached)if you only joined the cut cable maybe try to change the entire cable from the roof down.dont know if this was a help mate(but more help is probably on the way),good luck.

Thanks a million,
thought of changing the whole thing all right. Was hoping it might just be a simple issue and that would be the last resort. It is an original chorus aerial.
Looks like I'm gonna have to get on the roof.
cheers for the help.
Appreciated

When cutting the cable, you would have caused short on power supply, might only be that blown, check with voltmeter and see is there any voltage coming out of 'Ant' side of it.(dont know if they have short circuit protection)
If it's dead, thats your problem!!

That's great, thank you. Don't have a voltmeter but that makes a whole lot of sense. Tried to change the fuse but that didn't work. The signal booster off the back of the box requires 18.5v, All I have lying around the house is a 12.5v power supply. You reckon if i pick up an 18.5 it could work?
Any idea where to get one, I'm in limerick.

Thanks again.

It's not actually a signal booster, it's a powersupply for the downconverter on your ariel, it sends 18 - 24 volts to the ariel through the co-axial cable and not allowing any voltage to your box, would be worth checking it first though to make sure that 'it' is def the problem, check out flea-bay for them! (make sure cable to ariel goes to 'Ant' side of psu and connect 'Tv' side to your Chxxus box> if connected incorrectly it could blow the tuner in your box!

Got a new power supply and it got the signal running around 50 again. Replaced the entire cable and it actually worked with great recepton for about ten minutes, then suddenly the quality bar dropped to poor and it's gone again! Incredibly frustrating, can't think of anything else it could be. Thanks for the help.
