Hi All,

I have bought the unlock code for my e63 from Virgin Mobile in the UK but I cannot get it to work - when I enter the supplied code my phone displays "Code error". The call centre staff have not been able to help, so I was hoping that one of the resident geniuses here might be able to help. I was wondering if Virgin have supplied me with wrong instructions. They told me to do the following:

1. Insert a NON VIRGIN SIM into the handset
2. Turn the phone on.
3. A ?PHONE RESTRICTED? Message will appear.
Select the right hand scroll key and press ?UNDO?
4. Enter the following sequence.

#pw+xxxxxxxxxx+7#

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx = The Code on your letter

P can be displayed by pressing the * key 3 times
W can be displayed by pressing the * key 4 times
+ can be displayed by pressing the * key 2 times

5. Now press OK

6. Your phone will switch itself off. Just switch it back on, and your phone will now be unlocked.

NB: In some cases you might find that the code from step 2 may not work. If that happens, don?t worry ? just enter this slightly different code:

#pw+xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx+1#

Are these the correct instructions for a series 60 BB5 phone? Any other ideas why I might be having problems?
