PSP PSX enhancements?

Is there a way to add AA or ant other filters to possibly make the games look a bit better? a good example is epsxe options.

The reason why I ask this is because I made a backup of my final fantasy VIII and made a eboot out of it and I can hardly see their faces its so graphically bad. I am sure the psp screen has better resolution then this because when I play regular psp games I can tell their faces from long distances so why would this be an exception?

anyway if there is a way to enhance the graphics can you please tell me also are there any interesting plugins and such for the psx emulator on my PSP?

Well you do know that PSP games have better graphics than PSX games anyways right?
