Hi, from a sunny warm South Africa. Newbie to the whole soft mod thing (but read almost all there is on it) and are now even more confuse. I have a PAL wii with firmware 3.1e on it and did the twilight hack and successfully install the Homebrew Channel.
Then I install the Backup launcher and got the two tabs on my SD card saying Backup Launcher and Cios installer ? now here is the problem, when I use the back up launcher gives a 324 no cios error and when I click on the cios installer it want to connect to the net.
My wii is not connected to the internet and it is a total waste to do it in my country. (To slow)
Now it seems to me that it is possible to do this with out the internet but don?t understand the whole process fully to try it.
Then the whole reason for doing the mod started with my Sister bought copies of games in Shanghai and they are Ntsc and I have a Pal. Is this the right mod for my purpose?
Decided to post my question on this forum because I saw that you guys answer the posts and not just ignore the newbie?s

Go HERE and follow this guide.

There are 2 ways to install the cIOS on your system and the guide walks you through both methods. Since you have the HBC installed skip that part and go down to Installing WiiGator Backup Launcher 0.3 gamma: section of the guide.
