When Do You Need Original Files?

Hey all, just wondering if/when I would need the original factory files that came off of my Samsung m25 drive? The reason I ask is because I'm not the original flasher of the drive and I don't have contact with that person so needless to say, I don't have my original files. I'm looking to upgrade my IXtreme and just want to make sure it's safe to do so...

No need to worry. All of the information (key) you need to update can be found in the older version iXtreme that's on your Samsung MS25.

Just extract the key and update with the latest version of iXtreme and JungleFlasher.

JF keeps freezing my pc so I'm planning to use IPrep to make a bootable disc then just go through the dos prompts. Will that work and Is that all I'll need to do?

Yes, iPrep will work just fine. Just make sure that you read the drive key first and save it as SamOFW.bin. Then continue with the DOS prompts to flash it with the new iXtreme.
