Please remove your Serial Number. It begins with 1C82.
Try using Imgburn To Burn to Disc, It's Much better than NERO
It also may be time to replace that Burner.

I appreciate your suggestion, but I never had a problem with Nero before, I was hoping someone could read the log and decipher if I'm having a hardware problem or what the heck is happening...

Don't knock it if you Haven't Tried it. Your Burner is at Least 3 Years old. I Would just Replace the Drive and be Done with It. I Did read the log. Ritek +R 16s aren,t my Disc of choice. Tys are better. you do have an unspecified Recorder Error. You are only Burning at 2.5X Try 4x.

Try Running RoxioZap. I think you can Download that at the Roxio Web Site Still. Roxio May Screw with Nero.
Roxio DVRS File 'Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS': Ver=8.0.0.212 , size=2560 bytes, created 10/28/2005 3:00:00 AM
Also Try Using Different Media Maybe 8X -Rs,burning at 4X.
AND TRY using Imgburn instead of Nero, then Post the Imgburn Log.

Here's your problem, the burner doesn't recognise the media ~
This paragraph seems to recognise it ~

...yet this paragraph contradicts the previous one ie it can't recognise the media ~

Insert empty disc to write to.

Basically the firmware isn't equipped to use the media (same problem with the Sony burner up in your first post). Look for newer firmware for this other burner but you're going to need to either buy a modern burner (as older burners obviously don't have continued firmware support ie aren't equipped for newer media) or try different (maybe older, that the burners can recognise) media.
