So I edited bunch of my video files in TMPGEnc 4, now I'd like to save all of those clips as an .avi file, but the program only lets me output a DVD version of my made video.

Is it possible in some way to export the files I edited with this program to .avi format?

Hi xTrix!

Unfortunately TMPGEnc only does MPG - hence the name!
The full name is Tsunami MPG Encoder...

From here you have many options - but all of them require using different software to re-encode the video.

Hi again

I should correct that - you could use VirtualDub to wrap the MPEG A/V streams into an AVI container - that wouldnt require any re-encoding, but may not be fully compatable with all systems...

pardon me for jumping in -
the old version of Tmpgenc (version 2.5) could save as avi.
It was available through File/Output to file...

Not sure if it exists in later versions.

I'm just getting started with TMPGEnc Express and it will encode to any number of formats including DIVX/AVI. I just found the advanced DIVX options and with the DIVX Pro codec it gives me a lot of the options I have in Dr DIVX... actually more. I never liked that Dr DIVX didn't support 30fps.
