HELP recovering a bricked benq

hello, im sorry if this is in the wrong place but i searched everywhere but could not find wot i woz lookin 4

i have a benq vad6038, i flashed it with ixtreme 1.4 an it worked fine for 5-6 months
i then upped it to ixtreme 1.5 an it worked ok for about a month then 1 day i turned it on put farcry 2 in an it worked for bout 10 minutes then crashed, i have had e64 ever since.

an a couple of other things, the drive does not open at all, an i have the via 6421 chipset (obviously, thats how i flashed it first time round)

jungle flasher cant see the drive, an wen i try iprep it keeps sayin firmware file is the wrong size, or wen i try erasing it says erase failed.
so if there is N E 1 who can help (as i cannot afford a new drive) it would be much appreciated

hello mate.. I had a similar problem when trying to upgrade to 1.6 .. i put the power cable into the ck3 kit upside down and i think i burnt out the board on the drive.. i opened it up but nothing on the drive looked burnt there was a small burnt mark on the metal cover but could not see anything on the board.. there was also a little smell "burnt" coming from the drive.. after several of hours of trying to recover it or make it work i gave up.. thanks GOD I have the OFW so I ordered a new benq drive on ebay and I am waiting for it to arrive.. I would reccomend you the same mate.. don't waste time .. keep it for spares and buy a new one..
