there is a risk involved ... some people suspect the console logs what games you play / the date ... then it transmits this log to XBL whenever you next connect.
like with the game bionic commando... which is floating around. not only would you be playing before its released there is also no verification of the stealth. so its possibly a double whammy, if there is something wrong with the stealth of the ISO . .. .
the safest way would be to wait until after its released and after ABGX can do a full verificaiton of the ISO

The game in mind was UFC, it passes stealth in ABGX I'm just not sure whether it's worth the risk to play it before release.
if you use a different memomy card or hard drive other then the one that u have your xbox live profile on it should be fine because all acheievents and game logs would be on that unit or drive and not on the one you connect with live. the only bad part is that you would have to start over on your live drive to get credit for those achievements
Actually it doesn't matter if you use a different account. A ban like that doesn't even ban your account, it bans your CONSOLE!! The stealth doesn't totally pass in abgx for ufc. IT has to pass and then verify, and it is impossible for it to verify stealth becasue that game is not out yet and therefore not in abgx's verified database. What that is showing you is that the game "looks" like it is stealth, not guaranteed. You only know once the game is out and has been verified. That yellow writing you get means the game is not verified stealth and therefore not for sure safe. You shouldn't play games before they come out with the same box you play online in. This is just asking to get you banned. Hope this helps. :)
Well, although it is possible that the xbox saves game logs on the HDD or memory card, it is also possible for it to, and highly likely that it does, save information that is sent to Microsoft in the cache, which is on the motherboard. No way to clear it, no way to change it.
This is also where the xbox saves stuff like the dashboard(ever notice after you upgrade, the NXE dash is still up even without the HDD in?)
If you play a game before it comes out, it is highly risky. Definitly do not play it online, and you may still get banned if you do. There is no way of knowing for sure, so its just how much of a risk you want to take. If you are really keen on playing it, but don't care so much about getting the stats built up, buy a banned console off someone and use it to play games you don't want any record of.

I just played that Bionic Commando a few days ago because I simply couldn't wait till the release date. I had been looking forward to that game for quite some time. I took the hard drive off and unplugged the ethernet cord, but if indeed the console makes it own log on the mobo and send it to MS, I could get the hammer. After I finished playing the game, i threw the disc away and hooked everything back up and played Godfather 2 online without a problem. If I end up getting banned soon, I will report back.

it don't work that way ... it doesn't benefit microsoft to give people a clear cause & effect for their banning. its much better for everything to be a gray area so people aren't sure exactly what will get them banned.
if the console does indeed have an internal log and you've been busted for it the ban will happen in the next wave... which will probably happen several months from now ... by then they could have numerous reasons to ban you and you'll never know which one triggered the ban.

I understand exactly what ur saying but I have had a modded console since late 2006 and have played back-ups of all the major games through all of the ban waves without online issues. Since I know I have never played a game before release and always followed the stealth check/firmware upgrade regiments to the tee except for this one time...if I get banned next week or sometime in the Fall, I have no choice but to attribute it to this one slip up unless there is better info available.
