hope this is the correct place to post this if not im sorry
i have lots off min dv tapes and would like to put them on to dvds however on these tapes i have taken quite a few pictures can these be taken off and store on their own , also there are parts that i forgotten to switch off the recording and the usal pointing to the ground parts how do i edit or cut out these unwanted parts can any one point me in the best easyest direction or recomend up to date soft ware or provide any links.

Depending on the format, Avidemux can edit video files.
It can also save individual frames (File > Save > Save JPEG Image).
