I have recorded an HDTV file in .ts format. I then demuxed the file using Project X, cut out ads using MPEG2Schnitt and then remuxed it using tsMuxer. Now up until here the file plays fine in VLC. The moment I load it up (the final muxed .ts file) in AutoGK, it doesn't detect the audio part or play it. It's unable to read any codec info in Gspot. The original file for some reason is able to be read, encoded, perfect in AutoGK so I don't really know where the problem is since it's the same ac3 audio. anyone had any similar issues?

I use this program to edit .ts and .tp files.
The output can be .ts or .mpg format.

It allows selection of sub-channels (if present in the stream).

The selection of areas to include for the output file, is simplified if you first click the 'Exclude' button, then use the slider to go to the beginning of the part you wish to keep and click 'Include'.

Continue to the end of the selection and click 'Exclude'.
Repeat as required and save.

AGK can use the output files as source for conversion to AVI.

Well what surprised me is that the original .ts file read fine (the audio) but after remuxing it (with m2v and ac3 files extracted) the .ts files don't show an audio stream in AGK. Is it a bug? I will try HDTVtoMPEG2 but I like the current set of tools I now have so if you have a suggestion.

Ok well I experimented with AGK and my current set of tools and managed to get everything working. It seems like AGK doesn't support AC-3. Now even if I do record in AC-3, when I demux it I convert it to mpeg audio. I would really suggest trying Project X. you can demux and cut in it and really is quite fast. thanx attar

AutoGK supports AC3(otherwise you wouldn't be able to play "the same AC3 audio" from the "original" file).
