Wiikey 2 installed, Now What?

I recently installed a wiikey 2 into a compatable Wii console. I left it open while testing. the lights do their little confirmation on the chip to say that it is working. I put in a DVD and try and play it but it says its unreadable? The wii doesnt even appear to be different in anyway, Does not appear modded. I have not run any config disks/update disks. I will hunt soem down soon. What are some easy ways to test that the wii is modded successfully. I am currently preparing a backup to test. How do I play n64 games or NEW games i have downlaoded to my computer? thank you guys in advance! I appreciate any help.
